Nice atmosphere in dinning room. Completely overcooked shrimp scampi. Broccoli rabe side served cold. They offered to reheat it but never came.
Good food good service nice ambiance with rooms offering different decor.
Typical "American Italian" restaurant. Each entree serves two people comfortably. I like the Mamma Lasagna very much.
The food just does not cut it. Give us back the delicious fare of the old Mario's. We think the staff tries their best but they just can't match that old world sincerity. Add all that to the smaller portions, of less interesting cuisine, with substantially higher prices...prices not justified by the product, and we will be doing our Italian dinner nights elsewhere.
We fondly recall the old Mario's. This new Mario's we have given a number of tryouts. Each disappointing. The physical plant is very nice looking but depending upon where you end up seated can be as cramped as a middle coach seat on a Jet-Blue flight to Orlando with complete stranger fellow diners practically sitting in your lap and inevitably becoming part of any conversation you may be attempting.
The decor and atmoshpere they created here is charming. The portions are enormous. The taste homemade as apposed to a chain restaurant. I am only rating 3 stars because my wife and i both ordered different past entrees but they somehow tasted way more similar than we thought they should. Also, the food took a while to come out and they are very generous with the bread, but would rather have had my main course 20 mins earlier.
